Tirzepatide is administered via subcutaneous injections. It is sold under the brand names Mounjaro for diabetes treatment, and Zepbound for weight loss.

Semaglutide mimic the effects of the GLP-1 hormone which helps regulate appetite, digestion, and insulin release from the pancreas.
Semaglutide works by synthesizing the effects of the GLP-1 hormone and causing its effects to last longer in the body. This helps reduce appetite, improve metabolic health, and can lead to significant health benefits and weight loss.
what’s the difference?
tirzepatide
Tirzepatide mimics both the GLP-1 hormone and another metabolic hormone called GIP.
The first part of Tirzepatide works the same as semaglutide. It synthesizes and extends the effects of the GLP-1 hormone. The dual action approach of tirzepatide also repeats these effects for the GIP hormone which is also related to the metabolism and appetite.
